Dog Bed

If you don't want your dog sitting on your furniture then it is a good idea to invest in a comfortable bed for your dog.  This should be placed somewhere that will be near you when you are relaxing or working.  No beds are indestructable, even though some will claim to be.  The best way to avoid your dog chewing its bed it to make sure you don't leave him unattended on it until you are confident he wont chew it.  This way when you see him chewing his bed you can tell him 'no' then when he stops, give him something appropriate to chew, like a rawhide.

Hard dog beds are the most hygenic and can be used indoors or outdoors.  You can place blankets or vet bed in the bottom of the bed to make it comfortable for your dog.  This makes it easy to keep clean and avoids places smelling of dog.
